I am trying to research my Gtgrandfather JOHN FEIGEL who was born in Bavaria, so say the USA census and his Naturalization papers, death certificate, I can find nothing that has his place of birth, he was born 10 Aug 1823 m ANNA HUB of HAMBURG GERMANY (info from Church records in SYRACUSE NY) He was EVANGICIAL LUTHERAN. I have just learned that his surname had been VOGEL at one time in history.He immigrated from unknown port to unknown port USA in 1847, I cannot find him on any passenger list.
