Several of you have responded to my not-so-good-natured grumbling about the new Western Europe Vital Record CDs from the LDS Church with offers to purchase them. Thank you for being willing to take them off my hands, however, I have decided to donate them to my local FHC. It turns out after several days of looking into them that much of the material is new. In two ways both not yet on the IGI and more recent. Thus, if you need information about your great grandparents and are fortunate enough to be from one of the villages included, you might strike paydirt. This, of course, raises the disappointing prospect that new data abstracted from the records will not be added to the IGI but, instead, be sold on CDs.
