I assumed the records would NOT be those already listed in the IGI but that turned out to be wrong. However, I do like the fact that you can search all the records from a particular town/village and also that a Film number is given as a reference. I have done a preliminary search for some of my folks and found a few families in neighboring villages that I was not aware of. I also located marriage records for two of them. Admittedly I was disappointed that there weren't more records for my area (near Kusel/Kaiserslautern) but I was happily surprised to find the matches that I did. I can understand your disappointment and that of others but as far as I'm concerned the $27 was worth it. Consider that it may be helpful to some people.
