Good Morning Fellow Listers, I just joined this list because I am trying to find out information about my great grandfather. His name was Jacob BROSSARD and he was born December 25, 1867. While I was growing up, the only information I had was that he was born in Alsace-Lorraine. He may have had a French surname, but he was extremely proud of his German heritage. He married my great grandmother on February 10, 1891 in Buffalo New York, and the information on it states that his place of birth was Scheidt Bavaria. Up until I received that copy, I had no idea where he was born. His father is listed as John Brossard and his mother was Barbara Weisgerber????? Can't really read the writing very well.
