I can only give you part of an answer to number 1...The Kraichgau....A book has been compiled by Annette Kunselman Burgert "The Kraichgau" which will give much information on that area. Also someoneposted something about the following books: Macco,Hermann Friedrich " Swiss Emigrants to the Palatinate in Germany and to America 1650 1800 and Huguenots to the Palatinate and Germany - These are in FHL mICROFILM # 0823861 and 0823862.
