Greetings Listers, I am not sure if I am on the right list but would like to post these names in case there would be a contact. My ggrandfather,Ludweig WINKOFSKE and his wife, Wilamina WITTE, sailed from HAMBURG in June of 1881, arriving New York, June 28, 1881. Surname can also be WINKOFF. I found a Bernard WINKOFF on a Christening record for his son Johannes. dated in 1689. Name of place was Heimback Neuwied, Rhineland, Preussen. Has anyone heard of this place or the above surnames?
