We arrived at the Institut fuer pfaelzische Geschichte 5 minutes after it closed this July, so I have been reading the comments with interest. I am seeking to put together more information on Peter P. Quirin who was born in St.Ingbert in April 1835. In the Standesamt in St.Ingbert we were able to get the names of his parents Johannes u. Barbara Schweissthal and siblings. I am presetnly working on a microfilm from St. Ingbert. He is said to have settled in St. Clair , PA in 1853. I am curious as to with whom he went to the U.S.A. and when.and would also like to reestablish a connection with relatives in St. Ingbert. The Quirins who responded to my letters do not believe they are related. Any relatives ou there? Grace Whealan
