If I recall right, Is that the Bavarian government sent over 100 people from Otterstadt, Pfalz in 1852. Most went to Canada and later trickled down into the US. Another group left in the 1880s from the Otterstadt area and my ancestors were included in this group and the bulk of them came to Reynolds, Dakota Territory and splintered from there to St. Paul, MN; Humboldt, SK; New Rockford, ND and Oregon.
