Landau is in the Pfalz, near the Rhine River and the Weinstrasse. What is your ancestor's name? My G G Grandfather Schwaab came from Dammheim, which is just a few kilometers north. Somewhere back in the distant past one of his ancestors married someone from Herxheim. There are church records for Dammheim for this time period at the LDS. They sometimes reference marriages or baptisms in nearby villages, especially if the folks were related in some way. Irma
