    3. C try Haag or try Haag or Creussen in the Bamberg area of Oberfranken, Bavaria. My three greats grandfather, Simon Fuhrmann was from Haag. His first wife was Elizabeth Hertel from there. His seconsd wife was the widow Margaret Freyberger. His third wife, my ancestor was Elizabeth Mather from Gottlsfeld in Creussen parish, her mother was a Freyberger. There are a lot of Freybergers from the area that settled in Dubois and neighboring southern indiana counties. Hope this helps T Diemer New Orleans On Sat, 5 Aug 2000, Manfred Haertel wrote: > I'm looking for the marriage of David Bixel (or Bchsel or Bichsel) and > Elisabeth Freyburger (or Friburger) before 1772 (possibly in the late > 1760s). > > They appeared (already married) in Dannemarie, Alsace, France in the > early 1770s where they had several children.
