I am trying to find the exact birthplace of my g'g'grandfather Jerome ERB. He was born somewhere in the Palantine in 1816. I can not find any proof of where, but more to the point, I do not see the given name Jerome in use in Germany at that time. Does the name Jerome translate into some other name in German?
