I am researching ancestors from DIRMSTEIN and LAUMERSHEIM. In Dirmstein, I am seeking information on WEIS(S), ROTHERMEL (sp??) and BIHN families. In Laumersheim, I am researching the TRAU and ROEMER families. I have traveled to these areas in 1999 and am willing to share information with others who have an interest. I am also interested in knowing more about the religions of those areas in the late 1700s and early 1800s. Thank you, Steve Steve Frank Tiffin, Ohio SFrank@woh.rr.com
Greetings, I have recently received some new information on my GROSSART / H line: Peter GROSSARTH, the son of Johann Nikolaus GROSSARTH of Disibodenberger Hof by Odernheim am Glan went to Naumburg according to his marriage to Dorothea KÖNIG of Odernheim. "Peter Grossarth Laut Lutherischem Kirchenbuch von Odernheim Herrschaftlicher Mieter (Beständer) zu Naumburg (Naumburg an der Nahe oder Naumburger Hof bei Ginsweiler. Kinder 1. Peter verheiratet am 24.1.1745 zu Odernheim mit Dorothea König Tochter von Paul König von Odernheim Rotgerber." I would like to find the birth record for Peter II, who from other records was born about 1720. He died in Rosspollenbach by Weierbach, Sankt Wendel, Rheinland. I found Ginsweiler but need to find the church town for it. I have not identified "Naumburg an der Nahe" yet. Does anyone know where that might be? Thanks for any help, Karen Grossart
