I recently traveled with my son into New York City and went to the Statue of Liberty and then on to Ellis Island. Though I have no one in my family who came through the Island (they all came years before Ellis Island opened), I knew my son caught the "genealogy bug" when he stood in the middle of the main hall and said, "Just think, Grandma Stewart (my husband's grandmother) came through here." Ellis Island has wonderful displays along with the voices of immigrants explaining what their entry into America was like and their impressions of different foods, customs, etc. And though we didn't get to see the play, the movie is a definite "must see." A lot of people left the theater with tears in their eyes, including me. I am sure that if you can get the chance to see it you would thoroughly enjoy it - whether or not your family came through there. Dorothy
