    1. [Pfalz] Entry Into New York
    2. Hi, John - Before 1855 the passengers simply got off the ship to whatever wharf they had arrived in Manhattan, not having to go through a central processing center. However, there are still passenger lists for many of these people. I have a passenger list from April 1839 with my g-g-grandfather's name (among 200+ other passengers). If you give me the name of your g-g-grandparents, maybe I can find them. Dorothy

    3. Dorothy, Thanks for responding so quickly! My Great (2) Grandparents were John Paul & Sophia Bastian who came over in 1850. Possibly not together??? Thanks!
