Dorothy, would you be so kind as to look for my Johannes Weyrauch who states in his naturalization papers that ..."he sailed from the port of Haver the Grace on the third day of April 1831, and arrived in the city of New York in the United States of America on the 15th day of May ensuing". Haver the Grace being the port of Havre, France. he should be with his wife Mary, and at least these children; Caroline, Magdelene, Michael Matthew and possibly Francis John. these could be written in German, French or English, depending on where their true allegience lay (Germany or Alsace) or where the Captain was from and what his native tounge was. there may also be a son George and/or a son John. unfortunately there are far too many ways this name can be mispelled. I have tried numerous times to find them at Ancestry to no avail. thank you! Cornelia
