I found them on the 1850 census in Port Washington a town in OHIO,Tuscarawas county . Wilhelm died there in 1869 there after the others move to different parts of the country . Frederic and family moved to Emmet County Mich . along with their mother Louisa . David moved to Kansas and my G grandfather Jacob moved to Belleville Illinois . I know there were a lot of other German families in Port Washington Ohio . They all fought in the Civil War Fred and David in Ohio and Jacob in Illinois . The girls have been harder to track . Thanks for all of the encouragement . Just thought someone might have some idea on the immigration to this part of Ohio.
