Am still confused about Rüdesheim. Apparently there are two. When I access the catalogue in Salt Lake I get: Germany, Preußen, Hessen-Nassau, Rüdesheim for one set of records and Germany, Preußen, Rheinland, Rüdesheim for another set. The Rheinland set has church records marked Rüdesheim (Kr. Kreuznach) for the catholic records and Weinsheim (Kr. Kreuznach) for the evangelical records. The Hennen-Nassau set says Rüdesheim (Reingaukreis) for the catholic records and Rüdesheim am Rhine (Reingaukreis) for the evangelical records. Were both a part of Nassau at some time or just the Hessen-Nassau reference? Roger Nichols <SooCtyGen@aol.com>
