However, you left out information to help you answer your own question. At the bottom of that entry were these data: ======================= Source Information: Batch No.: C989971 1639 - 1798 0193096 ======================= This means the data were extracted (transcribed from records) and the batch number for the group is C989971 from LDS microfilm 0193096. The years extracted in this batch are 1639 to 1798. The batch number can be used to search only those records via the IGI specific search engine at FamilySearch. The IGI specific search engine can be reached 2 ways: click on the Batch number on the search result or click on "International Genealogical Index" on the left side of the "All Resources" search and enter the batch number. Unfortunately, that batch number has only one entry with the HEBEL surname, your Johann Georg Friedrich, however, there may be additional information in the actual church book entry on LDS microfilm 0193096. The entry may contain the home village of the father or the mother. It surely will have the sponsors and their home village. You need to visit your local LDS Family History Center (also found on the FamiySearch website) and rent the microfilms for that village. ========================= Kirchenbuch, 1639-1879 Evangelische Kirche Obermoschel (BA. Rockenhausen) (Main Author) Parish register of baptisms, marriages, conversions, confirmations, deaths, presbyters, indexes, penitents, reinterments, schoolteachers, indexes, communicants, and censors of the Lutheran and Reformed Protestant churches. ============================ A search for the next batch number in sequence (C989972) gives 5 more HEBELs, 4 are the children of Johann Adam HEBEL and Catharina Elisabetha HILDEBRAND and one is the child of Johannes HEBEL and Johannetta ENDER. A search of the associated marriage batch number (M989972) gives the marriage entries for these 2 HEBEL families. In that time period the actual marriage entry in the church book usually gives the full names of both parents (including "born as" name for mother) and their home village. It is easy to speculate that Johann Adam and Johannes were other children of Johann Nicholas HEBEL and Maria Elisabetha when they moved to Obermoschel.
