Hello group!! Thanks Bob for the information... I got on the FHL site and got some film numbers... I have Michael (ie George Michael) in the US censuses from 1860 through 1880... Not sure of his death but his wife remarried in 1891 and he is not in the 1900 census. I am getting his will/probate today so hopefully that will give me some answers. I am still trying to find him on the passenger lists to see when he came to the US... I know that he was in Illinois in 1853 as my Great Aunt had a pioneer certificate stating that she was a direct descendent of Michael Hazelwonder who lived in Illinois in 1853... The first land deed that I have found for Calhoun County was 1854... I didn't have a lot of time to look to see if there was an earlier one... I am planning on going to the FHL center on Tuesday evening... They are open in the evenings on Tues and Thurs... Thanks for all the help! Juls
