Betty and Diana, This is the first time have seen the name VIEHL in any of my newsgroups. I have an Albert VIEHL from the Newport area of Rhode Island, b. circa 1896. He married Margaret RITTER of Elizabeth New Jersey. They had three children, Margaret, Helen, and Albert. After divorcing in the early 20's, Margaret and the children stayed in Elizabeth. I believe Albert, Sr., remarried in Newport, where he died.
