Mary Lou, I first used Yahoo using a Boolean search (e.g."Emsburen" and "genealogy") and only found little (the first web page with only one name). I then tried Dogpile.com and tried it again, although I added the umlaut to the "u" and that seemed have done the trick (I learned how to use the umlaut - two dots over the vowel - from folks here on this list. From there it gave me the page that had all the info on it. I doublechecked that info against what we already had, and Bingo! - I had my info. joe ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mary Lou Carr" <lacarr@bellatlantic.net> To: <PFALZ-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, July 02, 2000 7:44 AM Subject: [PFALZ] Joe Metz's "what part of Germany" > Hi! > Just read of your good fortune in finding location in Germany and of > finding family's information on a site after searching the web. > Can you give me/us any hints on this?
