Bernice: Many of my ancestors came from Grethen, Hausen, and Bad Dürkheim. This particular area had excellent civil records beginning about 1800, and if the marriage occurred during this time, a civil record might very well exist. These records have been microfilmed, and can be borrowed from the LDS Family History Center. Excellent records also exist for the evangelical church in the area, going back to the mid 1600s. These can be accessed as well from the FHC.
