Hello to all Pfalz-listers, An earlier query to the Trier list brought many suggestions for LOCH families but none for the necessary HORT connection. I want to find the birthplace for my maternal grandfather NICHOLAS HORT, b.1847, to PETER HORT and JOANNA LOCH. Nicholas emigrated to Iowa in the United States in the early 1870s. Other than 'Prussia' the only clue I have is 'German-French' in one record. The IGI has Horts in both Elsass and the Pfalz regions. I'm open to all suggestions... Robert C.
