I am looking for information on Philip Jacob HAMMER born September 8, 1797 in Bergzabern, Bavaria.. Philp’s wife’s given name was Mary (surname unknown). They had four children born in Bavaria: Caroline HAMMER born abt 1826, Philp J. HAMMER Jr. born abt 1827, Louise HAMMER born abt 1829, and Jacob HAMMER born abt 1832;. Philip arrived in America in 1837 . In 1842 he resided in Oneida County, New York State. In 1838 he moved to Monroe County, city of Rochester in New York State. In 1843 he went to Monroe County, New York State. In 1844 Philip became a naturalized citizen of the United States and lived the rest of his life (d.1870) in Rochester, NY USA.
