Good day Bob, I was wondering the same thing... I have been busy reviewing some old research and checking it against my database. I have filled in a few questions I had initially and solved a nagging problem I had in my notes. I want to clean up a few things before I continue gathering more information. I have even connected with a few other individuals researching part of my line. Right now I am just trying to solve where some births might have been recorded in the late 1790s. Hello Bob I too have noticed a lack of messages on several sites at the moment. But then again I subscribed and I do not think I have ever sent a message so I am just as much to blame. I am researching my father's family of which one line came over in 1709 and was part of the palatines who settled in Co Limerick, Ireland. Shirley, Have you checked any of the irishgenweb projects on genuki? They might have some information on the German Palatinates who settled in Ireland. My lines are all from a number of the villages in the Pfalz region. Interesting, In North Dakota, Hecht is often a name associated with the Germans from Russia.
