Hi, Marybeth - "My" Memmer family also had a daughter named Margaretha; she was born in 1819 and lived in Gossersweiler. Her father, Peter, was from Stein and her mother, Jacobine (nee Kerner) Memmer was from Lug. Years later, when Jacobine was widowed she moved to New York City and is buried in our family grave in Calvary. Last September my husband and I spent six days in Annweiler and visited the towns of Gossersweiler, Ramberg and Grafenhausen, among others. They're all very quaint charming towns. I swore that once I had seen them I would never go back but I now hope that someday I'm able to return. Dorothy
