Hi Norma, Gavin and Janet, thanks for showing me where the Petries were in Kettle in the 1881 census, I knew that there was wrong spelling! but I would not have found PEETREE. On the Image that I have from Scotlands People of the Janet Wilkie ms White death certificate, her mothers name is definately STAIG, the registrar, Robert Kay's writing is very clear, incidentaly he appears in my ALLAN / BEVERIDGE side of my family, it is a small world, if anyone wants a copy I can let them have it, this is the one where Robert PETRIE, Nephew is the informant, I also note the other children, they are possibly difficult to find in Familysearch because of the Haig / Staig spelling. My Fathers mother, Janet Allan lived at Kettle prior to coming to Edinburgh about 1890, I believe that Allan family members stiill live in Freuchie. Thanks for all your help Regards George
