Hello the Kirkimichael Petrie's I have throughly enjoyed reading all your messages through the list recently ...... and was interested to read the undernoted Petrie information detailed on the OHROOTS Mailing List the other day and it gives details of the father Charles Petrie born Scotland March 1814...... in USA since 1831 I did a quick check on the database and find that there is only one Charles Petrie's birth recorded for that date in the IGI's. CHARLES PETRIE baptised19 MARCH 1814 son of JAMES PETRIE & JEAN RATTRAY aka PETTERIE of KIRKMICHAEL Perthshire. Could this be him ? I have only ever found the IGI marriage details for James Petrie & Jean Rattray and the births of their 6 children. Does anyone else have further details for them ?
