Hi George, I thought it might be of interest to you and anyone else who uses the Scotlands People website, that I often use the SOUNDEX feature on the name search to bring in records which may have alternate spellings of PETRIE. It was a great advantage in searching the early Census records as it enabled me to find relatives where various spellngs had been used. Sometimes it's been th only way I've found an elusive relative.
