Hi Heather, I was up there today and I looked for my camera before I left but couldn't find it. Glenshee church is not the one you are thinking about - it is further up the glen. It is the one at the Spittal of Glenshee. You go over the old General Wade bridge just past the hotel and the church and graveyard are on the left hand side. It's a beautiful place but I can tell you, it was absolutely freezing today! There's snow up there already! Next time I'm there I'll make sure I've got the camera! Many thanks for that! I haven't looked in my files yet but can you tell me where Dalnaglar is please? I will probably kick myself when you tell me :-) If ever you find yourself up at the Glenshee churchyard with a digital camera, could you take a pic for me - of both the church and the grave stone? Is the Glenshee church the church that can be seen in my album - the one showing the Persie Inn opposite a church. I don't know that area so well. Many thanks again. Hi Jennifer Thanks ..... I looked on my old map and found Dalnaglar so I know exactly where that is now :-) Thanks for pointing me straight re the church in Glenshee. I've not found Robertina's death either! A bit of idle info ........... if you haven't got it:- In the 1851 Census for Rattray Alex Petrie born 1815 is unmarried, a grocer - living at Westfields NEXT door to brother James Petrie (bn 1819m) wife Christina Low and family. Also with Alex is sister Elizabeth and cousin Jane Petrie 17yrs. Would this be a daughter of their Uncle Robert bn 1796? I have a Janet and/or a Jean bn 1832? Any thoughts?
