Hello All, I'm still looking for my father's lost English cousins. Following W.W.II, we lost track of them but I do have a bit more information to go on now. If the following were your parents, grandparents or great grandparents, please contact me. The last known addresses for the following people were in the Manchester and Liverpool areas of England. Any information, leads or ideas would be most appreciated. Mary J. Petrie b. abt. 1871 Liverpool, Lancashire, England m. James E. "Manchester and Salford are adjoining cities, separated by the River Irwell, which becomes the Manchester Ship Canal, near to Chester Road where David Petrie lived. David is shown in the 1901 census, age 26, living with his wife Ellen at Eleventh Street, Stretford, working as a grain-weigher. Eleventh Street was part of an estate of workers houses near to Manchester Docks, (which, just to confuse things, are actually in Salford). The Grain Wharf is where ships coming from Canada and the US unloaded their grain cargoes at the docks, almost in the centre of Manchester and 35 miles from the sea at Liverpool.
