Hi Annette, I have checked in the Website File Cabinet and have found the same problem as you, but only with the Census details that Stephen (Baker) uploaded in Feb 04....my 'puter does not recognise these files either, and I expect others will have the same problem. However if you Click on "more>" below these files, it opens up 3 more long pages of Petrie info available for download, I have done a random check of them and all the rest seem to be fine and download no problem. Many thanks for bringing it to our attention. Hi Stephen, I don't know if you can remember the file type you used for these files, as it was back in 2004, but can you have a look and see if you can open/fix them or upload again, it would be a shame to lose them. Many thanks best regards norma ----- Original Message ----- From: "Annette Pringle" <iapring@snoopacowra.com> To: <PETRIE-SCOTLAND-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, September 25, 2006 10:10 PM Subject: [PETRIE-SCOTLAND] Web site > Thanks Norma, it was good to get into the site again and even better to > see the flurry of emails since your return. Hello Norma and others The files in questions are image files and open satisfactorily in an image viewing program like 'Irfanview'. One census image per file. The files I have looked are:- 1891Petrie1 1901Petrie1 1901Petrie2 1901Petrie3 1901Petrie4 I hope you find this useful. Hi Norma, Thanks for emails - this is my initial response. To give you an example: Today, 2xKari/3xRobben/1xJanine, Meg and Gavin went in junk mail but not duplicated in inbox. Today, this email from you plus one from Lynda Leslie came into inbox but not into junk. Trouble is I replied to Jennifer Petrie and Stephen Petrie site emails which had come into my junk and they have not appeared so I shall have to be careful how I respond - perhaps only through the inbox ones? This after I actually saved the address coming into junk box. The addresses look identical. So I cannot even report that, by saving the junk address, the problem is solved. If it is my end, I'll see if my son can sort it. Aren't you glad you are back - but at least you are generating interest again and geeing us all up.
