James (Oct. 26, 1817) married Bridget O'Connor. They had the following children: John Micheal - 1844 Thomas - Sept. 24, 1848 Joseph Mary Ann - Dec. 1850 Catherine - Oct. 1852 John - June 3, 1856 James - 1858 Joseph Patrick - Feb. 11, 1860 All of these children were born in Low Point, C.B. Hello Paula Many thanks for sharing your Petrie information with us, I do know of this family and the problem in connecting it back to Scotland...I'm afraid I have not found or heard of any success on that yet. I received the details of this family from Deborah Petrie (mpetrie@telusplanet.net) although I am not sure whether that address is still current for her it goes way back to 2000 since we last corresponded . Her husband was a direct descendant of John Henry Petrie & Ann Neering She was in the same situation as you with her research, and without Isobelle's maiden name or George's place of birth it is very difficult to pin them down. However I had looked at this extensively way back in 1997 and sent the undernoted e.mail message to Deborah at that time... it might give you some leads worth following up....
