    2. Genealogy
    3. Dear All I have noticed a great many postings on the 'Petrie Scotland' website of late pertaining to Kirkmichael. This particular line is my family, and I have an enormous amount of records, photographs, and miscellaneous information of all kinds pertaining to them. I also have extant personal knowledge, accumulated from having the luxury of knowing so many members of my family either in person or indirectly through other family members. I am in contact with many members of my family who are still living, and I have the largest collection of material pertaining to my family of anyone I have ever met, either on the 'Net or in person, so for anyone who would like support with their researches, please don't hesitate to get in touch and I shall be happy to help. 3. Hi there David, Are you, by any chance, descended from my Alexander line? But neverthe less, I'll get back to you with some questions when I can get my head round what to ask :-) Do you by any chance know Linda Cameron - she has a cousin (amongst others) called Ardle living in the Strathardle glen. I think that is such a cool name!! 3. Hi David, That is fantastic news! I have a collection of photos myself - I know some who some of them are and have arranged a meeting with my husband's second cousin for Saturday, so I am hoping to get more information then. It would be lovely to meet up and compare everything - I'm sure we could help each other out. If there are any other Kirkmichael Petries out there, I would love to hear from you, Thanks Jennifer Petrie ----- Original Message ----- From: Genealogy<mailto:genealogy1542@yahoo.co.uk> To: petrie-scotland@rootsweb.com<mailto:petrie-scotland@rootsweb.com> Sent: 26 September 2006 12:04 Subject: [PETRIE-SCOTLAND] Petrie- Kirkmichael, Strathardle, Perthshire Dear All I have noticed a great many postings on the 'Petrie Scotland' website of late pertaining to Kirkmichael. 1. [PETRIE-SCOTLAND] Stephen's Web Pics
    2. Heather Johnson
    3. Hi Stephen Really enjoyed looking at your pics. I think that my Petries were amongst those who came down from the glen to Blairgowrie because of the mills and the work generated by them - both indirectly and directly. For years my great-grandparents Alexander and Annie Petrie lived at the Board of Health Cottage which overlooked the Ericht and several mills. I know the Blair Mill depicted well so it brought back memories for me. I think that they might be planning to renovate it?! So pleased to see the Enochdhu pic too. Have just purchased a copy of that - a rare pic, I think and a great scene. Went past it a couple of weeks ago. The parents of my paternal great-grandmother Annie Petrie (nee Forbes) lived at The Croft, Enochdhu - a bit further up/down the road. I must get a scanner so that I can put a pic on the site, of them outside their home. They had come into the glen from the north - for work, I imagine. Anyway, I ramble on. Thanks for the memories :-) Heather
