HI Janine! My gg-grandmother Elizabeth Brown was a Petrie. Her & her husband George came to Ontario abt. 1830-40. They had 8 children, the first couple might have been born in Scotland. I assumed no other member of either family came but on one of the children's marriage certificates was a John B. Petrie. I'd assume he'd be a relative but don't no where he went or anything. I thought perhaps there might have been a connection as Niagara Falls & Dundas, Ont. aren't that far from each other. It was worth a try! Thanks!
