Good evening, I am trying to subscribe to the Petrie-Scotland mailing list but so far any responses seem to keep going to my husbands e-mail account. My details are: Lynda Leslie 1 Banvard Place Chapman ACT 2611 Australia e-mail: lsleslie@cyberone.com.au My Petrie family details I am looking for are: Grandmother - Laura Petrie b. Dundee area between 1900-1910 to Georgina Sweetmore (b. Montrose area no date available) and Isaac Strachan Petrie - no date or place of birth known but possibly the Dundee area. ggrand parents passed away in 1940's in Broughty Ferry near Dundee Laura went to New York mid 1920's, my mother Edwina was born in Sept 1929 in New York to Laura and Emil Sarrasin (French Canadian). Laura died in the late 1970's (I think) in Montreal Canada. Kind regards Lynda

Hello Lynda I'm not sure how you are subscribing, but you need to do the following:- Send an email with ONLY the word - subscribe - in the body of the email to:- PETRIE-SCOTLAND-L-request@rootsweb.com You can also put - subscribe - in the Subject line. Make sure that it is being sent from your email program and not your husbands.
