Hi Patricia Taggart. Pictures on their way, if not already arrived. Sorry, I do not think this is the correct John. There appears to be a one generation difference. The Alexander is my 3 x great grandfather. He was a weaver, and married Mary Peter 17 January 1782 at Laurencekirk, Kincardineshire. His first son John was born 5 July 1783 at Lauerencekirk, Kincardineshire, moved to Arbroath and on 24 November 1811 married Jane Brown. This John is my 2 x great grandfater. His only daughter Catherine was born 28 October 1784 at Brownhill, St Cyrus, Kincardineshire. She did not marry, and her death in Montrose was reported by her daughter. His second son David was born 11 June 1786 at Wardrosston, St Cyrus, Kincardineshire. Hope this clears this up. Murray Nicoll
