Hi Folks, Here are the Final Details for our Petrie Family Ceilidh being held on Saturday 11 August at 7.30 pm. Our Ceilidh is a private ticketed event, and we now have a list of around 80 attending, tickets will be available to be collected and purchased from Hazel at the Gathering on Saturday morning between 10 am & 12 noon in the Marryat Hall.... we can still cater for more....so if you want to bring along family or friends at last minute, please just let me or Hazel know. Ticket price is 10 GBP per person. Children under 16 are free. The Ceilidh is being held at South Littleton Farm, Rattray, Perthshire PH10 7HF for a good on-line map showing the location try http://uk5.multimap.com enter the full address, including the postcode (use South Littleton as the "Street" address) a scale of 50,000 is probably best in this instance...you can also click on "directions" to get a detailed description of the route. If you are driving to the Ceilidh, do be careful on the A926 as you turn onto the farm road, it can be a busy road and a bad corner.....please take the car all the way down to the Farm where parking will be available. For those who have already pre-booked the bus trip from Dundee City Centre to take them to and from the Ceilidh, bus tickets can also be collected from Hazel's Ticket Table at the Gathering on Saturday morning at a cost of £4 per person. The bus will uplift all passengers at 7.00 pm from outside the McManus Galleries, Albert Square, Dundee.... again try http://uk5.multimap.com to find the location, and you'll notice it's not too far from the City Square, which you will no doubt know very well by then !!! :o) The bus should arrive at the Ceilidh around 7.30 pm. All seats on the bus have been taken up..... Hazel and Dave Garside who are hosting & organising the Ceilidh, will be delighted to welcome you all to their Home Farm. The Ceilidh will be held in the Barn, and a full Buffet will be available, (so remember NOT to have dinner before the Ceilidh :o) The Caterer is also providing a very reasonably priced Wine, Spirit & Beer Bar (Hazel has mentioned that if anyone has a particular spirit they would like available for the evening please let her know and she will.... if possible.... arrange for it to be available on the bar) The Ceilidh Band will swing into action around 8.00 pm ...so do be ready to Party !!! :o) And of-course anyone willing to come forward and sing a song or do a turn, during the Ceilidh festivities ....will be very warmly received !! :o) The Ceilidh will finish around Midnight, which is also the pick up time for the Bus passengers, who will then be treated to a late night tour of Dundee, as the bus delivers them to their respective Hotels..... !! :o) I hope I've managed to cover most things with regard to the Ceilidh....should anyone have further queries please just drop Hazel or myself a line....
