Hi Petrie Pilgrims We are all now counting the days before our Petrie of Scotland Gathering in Dundee, and I'll very shortly be sending out through the List & website, a final update e.mail for each of the separate events. Since we have been talking & planning this Gathering for over a year now, I know we are all very much looking forward to meeting each other and I do hope it will be a great success and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone .... As I pull together the final details I particularly want to thank Hazel & Dave Garside, who are hosting and organising our Family Ceilidh at their home farm, also Jim Petrie, Wilma Gall, Karen Hutton, Clare & Murray Nicoll, Stephen Baker & Patricia Taggart for all their efforts and assistance, and the very many of you who have constantly offered support, encouragement, enthusiasm and your very good wishes towards our Petrie Family Gathering. I'll be posting to the website a list of the names of all those who are attending..... at the last count we have around 80 attending Friday & Saturday's events, and around 35 for our Edinburgh trip on the Monday.... Now you'll have to forgive my final detail e.mails if they sound a bit formal and to the point, I'm just trying to get the information out as concisely as possible, and have to constantly stop myself from turning them into a "major blether".....
