Greetings from very warm Canada. We are having temperatures in the low 30's, that's Celsius. I received a message from the Petrie web site saying that I have been absent for a long time so I am checking in . I'm still here and busy. I really have no more information about the Petrie- MacGregor line . I thought I had made a connection with the MacGregor -Barker line but that failed. I have been putting together a family cookbook showing the relationship of the people who offered recipes. So now when we cook we can follow our family tree. Also this winter I compiled a book of the poems written by one of my sisters. She is 90 and still going strong. She was invited to a school where one of her great granddaughters recited one of her poems for the class. That was a thrill for her. I am sorry to say I will not be at the Petrie reunion. I was hoping to go to Scotland with a friend in August . I was going to take her to the reunion and she was going to take me to a castle which is connected in some way to her family . ( I don't think my Petrie-MacGregor line can boast of a castle. ) BUT there is an Elderhostel trip at the same time as the reunion and it is a trip I have been wanting to take so much. So while you are enjoying the reunion look north and west to the Faroe Islands and wave to me. Maybe next summer I'll get back to Scotland once again. Best Wishes for a very successful reunion.
