My Petries were from Chapel of Garioch. Robert Petrie (son of George Petrie & Mary Booth) chr 18th August 1834 moved to Gorton, Manchester and married Hannah Dewhurst from Yorkshire. Their son David Dewhurst Petrie was my great grandfather.
