    1. Re: [Petrie-Scotland] New Participant Introduction
    2. Heather Johnson
    3. Hello Derek, Welcome ...... Quite a few of "our" Petries are away from their computers at the moment - attending a Petrie Gathering in Dundee yesterday ... including our leader, Norma. Some of us poor souls have been unable to go, sob sob. You will probably get some good feedback once everyone has returned home. My paternal grandmother was a Petrie - Margaret Gow Forbes Petrie bn 1880, daughter of Alexander bn 1853 nr Blairgowrie. She married (my paternal grandfather) one George Brown Brodie of Blairgowrie. I have a lot of Dundee photographs of ancestors and know that there must be a connection somewhere along the line but have not traced it yet. Do either of my grandparents appear on your trees, I wonder?
