Dear Norma, We have now returned home from Dundee to get ready for our family holiday at the end of this week!! We could not stay on for the Record Office and Tattoo visits because of that, and do hope that everyone had a great time. As far as the 'Gathering' functions on Friday, Saturday and Sunday are concerned we had some excellent and most enjoyable times. All your arrangements plus those of your helpers/ associates/ assistants etc went like a dream. I am sure that all those who attended will remember the occasion for a long time, we certainly will. We met so many nice people, most of whom were Petries, of course, and were able to share experiences of both success and failure in finding some of our elusive ancestors. Having a second cousin whom we knew nothing about walk in on Saturday afternoon and identify himself as another great grandson of 'my' great grandfather was the icing on the cake. He has already given us some more 'relative' information and we have been able to tell him much about the family of which he was not aware. Once again sincere thanks for all your efforts. Pat and Bill Petrie
