    3. Clare found a Petrie stone in Glamis Parish Churchyard with which she is very loosely related. Her 2 or 3 x g aunt's daughter married a son of James Petrie and Jane Joss. inscription 1869 In memory of ALEXANDER PETRIE shoemaker who died 28 December 1863 aged 62 years and BARBARA GIBSON his wife who died 1 October 1867 aged 67 years their eldest son JAMES PETRIE Glen Ogilvy who died 9 July 1895 aged 69 years also JANE JOSS wife of JAMES PETRIE who died at Glen Ogilvy 7 September 1908 aged 77 years also ALEXANDER PETRIE shoemaker eldest son of the above JAMES PETRIE who died at Glen Ogilvy 9 November 1917 aged 64 years. It is situated under the branches of a tree, the sun was on the wrong side, so I will return soon to photograph it. Any relatives interested in it? Clare and Murray Nicoll
