    3. Dear Clare and Murray, Possibly. I have Tosh relatives from Glamis and my Alexanders are females who married into the Tosh and related male lines. However, I have no idea of any connections as I do not know where any of my Alexanders came from. Mine are: Ann who married Alexander Duers (links to Tosh, 7C, 3R) David who married Emily Mackintosh (links later to Mowat through daughter Rose Ena) Lois Joline married Harry Joseph Herbert (10C) Margaret married John Pitbladdo (eventually links to my Ramsay line) Margaret Tait married John William Gray (2C, 3R - Tosh relative) Mary married James Tosh (5C, 2R) Rose Ena married Alexander Mowat (kith through Hebenton line) Thank you. I have copied this to the Petrie list in case any of the above are recognised by Robert, Bruce or other relatives looking at Petrie. Best wishes, Ian ----- Original Message ----- From: "Clare & Murray Nicoll" <[email protected]> To: "Ian Gammage" <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, August 07, 2001 8:28 PM Subject: Re: [Petrie-Scotland] Glamis Inscription > Hi Ian > > The Glamis ALEXANDERS were claimed by Robert Petrie in New Zealand and his > cousin Bruce in America as being of their direct line back. > > Is this any help? > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Ian Gammage <[email protected]> > To: Clare & Murray Nicoll <[email protected]> > Sent: Monday, August 06, 2001 4:31 AM > Subject: Re: [Petrie-Scotland] Glamis Inscription > > > >
