Hello Bill, Well I really had my facts wrong with the Dogger bank and New Foundland didn't I? Thanks for the info... I still have the idea that the fishing boats from the coast of Scotland fished for cod off New Foundland in those early days. I have found an Upper Island Cove and a Lower Island Cove in Conception Bay.....so perhaps that is the area I am looking for. No luck with the web site so far http://ww.islandnet.com/~jveinot/cghl/cghl.html. I got to islandnet.com but they said the next part was not a correct site. Have I made an error? By the way...
