Hi Norma and Heather (Richardson) I've managed to go another generation back with my family tree which may link me in to other people by another name as well as PETRIE. Already had Alexander REID m. Annie MCDONALD 20 NOV 1825 and now have their parents - Alexander REID and Annie PETRIE (does anyone have any further info on this Annie?), James MCDONALD and Marjery MCINTOSH. Heather, do you have a note of the parents of your Thomas MCDONALD, he could be Annie's brother? I see Caroline also has MCINTOSH in her line. I'm getting more and more confused! Her PETRIE line is the same as mine, but she married a local MCDONALD (I've yet to check for connections, really looking forward to finding some so I can wind them up) and her maiden name is LONG which also has PETRIE connections!
