When searching through the OPRs of Farnell, I came across a few pages of deaths. There were two entries of interest. Here they are as written. 1764 September 30 mortcloth to Helen Petrie's burial £1-19/6d. This must have been the best mortcloth, as a general labourer earned per year about twice the amount charged for this cloth. It would have been reserved for landowners or professional persons and their families. 1786 December the twentieth and six Margaret Petrie from Little Fittice was interred in the churchyard of Farnell.
