Did not find any Petrie connection with Samuel Wood the other witness at Jean Petrie`s marriage to James Reid. But I did find this: James Reids` mother was a BARNETT so I checked it out: There is a marriage for James Petrie and Isabella Barnett 15th Dec 1839 Cluny Aberdeen. James and Isabella had the following children: now these dates came from the IGI search at the LDS (so could be christenings as well as birth even though it just said born) all born in Old Machar Aberdeen ISOBEL Petrie 24th Jan 1843 MARY 18th Jan 1849 ISOBEL 24th Jul 1843(must be a double entry?) JAMES 18April 1846 MARY 18Jun 1849 (another double entry?) JOHN 30th Dec 1851 ELSPET 15 JUL 1853 Sorry it is so long but thought I would pass on this information in case it helps some one else.
