    2. The Petrie's
    3. Hi, I too had trouble logging on to the Petrie website as I had forgotten my username and password. When I tried to get them to send it to me I discovered that my email address with them was one that I stopped using three years when I moved to Montreal. Says something about how long it has been since I looked at this! Anyway, I explained the problem to the My Family technical support through the link on the site. It took about a week but they did respond and I can now get on the site. So perhaps you could contact them through the site and try your luck. Cheers, Stephen P.S. Hi Dave!

    2. Bruce, According to the web site I found: 11:00 AM SUNDAY US MOUNTAIN TIME (SUMMER) = 4:00 AM MONDAY SYDNEY TIME (SUMMER) To be safe you might call in the middle of the week and the estimated middle of the day US Mountain time. I can't guarantee it from Queensland, but 1-888-265-7491 may be a toll free number. Dave Petrie

    3. Hi Annette, Just a wee note to say that i am too researching my family of Petries, but very slowly, although i am not researching the same line, i just thought you might be interested to know that i stay in the village of Strathmiglo that you have ancestors from. It is a very quiet little village. The village of Newburgh is also very close to us. There you go some very useless information for you. I always find it interesting though when someone mentions Strathmiglo in the e-mails. 3. Hi Alistair I have William well documented in County Durham where he married and joined the Durham County Constabulary (30 yrs) and his birth date is based on their records and census. July 1850. Now all the family have been brought up on him coming from Broughty Ferry, Angus and again, the police records state he comes from Forfar, although no town/village is given. The only difference to this is a newspaper reference (his death was reported after his retirement) which states that he was an Aberdeenshire man. On his marriage certificate his father's name is given as William a Labourer. That's it in a nutshell. I'm completely stuck. 2. Bruce & Murielle
    3. Some years ago I was active on this list, but, for personal reasons, I regrettably let my association lapse. I now wish to resume contact but need help to do so. Sadly I cannot remember my user name or password so that I can gain access to the Petrie of Scotland pages on MyFamily.com. If I am correct in assuming Norma is no longer active on the list, I wonder whether anybody has taken over this function from her, and if so could someone please let me know? Alternatively, could S.K.P. please advise me if there is a way around my current "dilemma"? Thank you. Regards. Bruce Taylor Queensland Australia.
